Coated stainless steel

Through a special process, Titanium, Zirconium or other materials are melted and evaporated. They are transferred to the surface of the stainless steel sheets. The end result is compared to a standard.

In this way it is possible to reproduce the colour under consideration of an attainable tolerance that is accepted as usual for such technical process.

The metallurgical and mechanical properties of the steel remain unchanged during the process.

Nearly every surface structure is suitable for PVD-coating with Titanium and Zirconium synthesis. The original surface finish of the base material remains unchanged after the coating.

The coated sheets are used for decorative purposes in the interior architecture as well as elements of facades and roofs particulary as replacement of pure metals and alloys such as copper, brass and bronze. There is no measurable metal release due to climatic effects such as SO2 compared with e.g. copper and zinc which both are environmentally harmful particularly to respect to pollution of ground water.
